Lorenzo de’ Medici was born in Milan, Italy. He studied Economic Science in Switzerland, where he lived for a number of years, and History of Art in the United States. His professional and personal interests have taken him to several different countries and he has lived in Germany, Austria, the United States and Monte Carlo. He speaks six languages. His first book “Los Médicis, Nuestra historia” (Plaza & Janes, Random House/Mondadori group), was published in several languages. Other publications include “Las Guías de Lorenzo de’ Medici” (Belacqua Editores) and “Campos de Golf”. In 2004 “Florencia y la Toscana” was awarded the “Best Book Prize” by the Spanish Culture Ministry. His first work of fiction, "La Conjura de la Reina" (Martinez-Roca/Grupo Planeta), was also translated into various languages. El Secreto de Sofonisba, released in 2007 , has also been a great success. His current novel, El amante español, was published in February 2009 by Ediciones B. Lorenzo de’ Medici writes for several newspapers and magazines and currently resides in Spain, where he has appeared on a number of television and radio talk shows on historical issues. He is presently working on his new novel. |
